COPSS's primary objective is to create "peace of mind" for school superintendents, school boards, principals, and their community partners on school safety and crisis preparedness issues.
Helping school administrators get control of school safety and emergency preparedness planning in their schools and school-community.We also specialize in advising and supporting school boards and administrators on school safety issues during highly emotional and/or political circumstances.
We accomplish this through our School Safety and Communication Services:
School security assessments: Practical and cost-effective recommendations for security and crisis preparedness planning, violence prevention, physical security (access control, communications, perimeter security, after hours safety, physical design, etc.), school safety training, security staff and police operations, linking security with prevention and intervention, school-community collaboration, and support service roles in school safety.
